Ultracold Quantum Gases for Quantum Simulation

Our research focuses on understanding complex quantum many-body systems using quantum simulators.

We investigate the properties of quantum matter using ultracold atoms with strong dipolar interactions. By cooling magnetic atoms to near absolute zero, we want to create a clean and tunable model system to study superfluidity, fermionic pairing, and other strongly correlated quantum phases.

Dipolar Fermi mixtures

We are currently developing a dipolar Fermi mixture experiment to study fermionic pairing and superfluidity, with a focus on anisotropic and topological superfluidity.

We are interested in the connection of strongly correlated quantum liquids and supersolids with the BEC-BCS crossover.
